Course Content:

• Recognise an emergency situation;
• Identify, assess and manage immediate hazards to health and safety of self and others;
• Provide first aid and monitor the casualty’s condition in accordance with established first aid principles;
• Operate and use first aid equipment and resources;
• Perform Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines;
• Successfully coordinate evacuation of casualties and arrange support services in accordance with relevant principles and procedures;
